African Bookstore was stared in 1992 as
a source for all who are interested in the African culture
to locate information on the history of the African culture.
Our customers include libraries, musemus and students.
Over time we have expanded and added a collection of gifts
to the store. |

| Why
did you choose EcommerceTemplates?
Site was originally built as a static
site with all html pages, this made adding or changing
books and gifts difficult, and we knew there had to be
a better way. Finding the Ecommerce Templates Database
driven solution was it. The price of the shopping cart
was not an issue as we knew it was an investment that
would more than pay for it self and that proved to be
correct within the first month. Products could be managed
from one location through the browser without the need
for editing or publishing pages. Orders could be managed
the same. We knew this was the way to go and advance the
store's functionality and give the customers a friendlier
site to shop on. |
| How
long did it take to set up your store?
Setting up the site was easy as the user
manual guided us thru the initial setup and how to connect
the database. Once that was done it was time to test the
cart using the demo products that had been supplied. All
in all it took about 1 week to get the design changes and
products onto the database. Having the payment processors
already integrated and shipping features saved a tremendous
amount of time as it was nothing more than adding our account
information to the online control panel. |

has been the biggest challenge?
Shortly after launching the new site search
engines began to change their way of listing sites. This

industry.
