This addon for the ECT cart creates a XML Sitemaps protocol compliant file to place on your web server for the search engines spider. You should submit your sitemap to Google and Bing with your Webmastwer accounts, but it also allows for the Autodiscovery feature of the Sitemaps protocol The Google XML Sitemap Generator is available in ASP and PHP for $25 http://www.dlss.ca/proddetail.asp?prod=GoogleXMLSitemap You can see my site as a demo here... http://www.dlss.ca/dlss_map.xml And here is the Google Sitemap account screen showing that it downloaded my sitemap 12 hours after I submitted it with no errors... This appears to work well! Adding several hundred static pages manually is a bit annoying, but seems necessary as you have to assign priority and how often they change... good overall.

No you do not. It takes care of all the dynamic pages and the standard cart template pages. You only have to indicate which ones you have that normally don't come with the cart. You only have to enter them once and save. If you are not quite sure what I mean, then send me an email, and I will explain further. Wow! What a fast, painless installation. I downloaded Mike's addon and had it installed and the xml file submitted to Google in ebout 5 minutes. Google accepted the file in exactly 1 hour with a status of ok. Thanks Mike.

Not enough can be said for Mike and the products/support he provides. I downloaded the files and everything works FANTASTIC.
I must speak to his service. I made a mistake and ordered the wrong product. i ordered the sitemap file instead of the googlesitemap. i exchanged a few emails with mike and then... wait... he called me to personally walk me through the problems. again, all the problems were mine as i made a big DOH!!!!
mike quickly diagnosed my mistake and sent the correct mod. once i had the correct mod, i was up and running in less than 5 minutes.
i wish all the mod developers provided such fantastic support for their products. if there was a way to give mike 5 stars in the ect forum, i would.
EXCELLENT WORK!!!!

Have just downloaded and installed Mike's Google Sitemap mod and have to say it is excellent!
Simple to use and does exactly what it says on the tin!

Great mods Mike. It was really a snap once you figured out I had an older version since I neglected to tell you when I purchased the 2 site maps. I had both maps built and on the home page and the other submitted to Google in less than 30 mins. I don't even want to think about how long it would have taken to build the nav map on the home page with nearly 200 links. Thanks for the fast downloads and quick response when I needed an assist. Great job Mike! Up until recently we have run a locally resident program to crawl our site (which could take hours!). The ASP script takes almost 2 seconds! Easy to install and simple to modify, wish all things were this simple.

Does this mod use the actual urls published on the site or does it build the map from the database?
I use custom searchengine friendly urls and rewrite them in .htaccess on the site I'm developing.
I would love to use this if it will work
