Howdy Y'all,

Having a problem with an error msg screen showing up when someone makes a purchase at the site http://www.asho.com.au The purchase is going through at my payment gateway, but they still get this screen which says "Sorry, there seemed to be an error ! If you need help with your purchase, then please be sure to contact us."

Oh and on my view orders page it shows up as "unauthorized"

Thanks ahead of time for your assistance with this and if you need any more info please let me know.

Hi there
Which payment processor are you using? Has it always given an error or if not, when did it start? Did you change anything on the site when it started giving problems for instance?

Howdy Vince,

We are using eWay Australia. ANd I have updated to the latest version of the eWay PHP file to see if it corrected the problem and it did not. I also have updated to the latest cart and no difference.

As far as when I am not sure we have not had any sales since we redid the store until the other day. The customer made comment about the screen is the only way that we knew.

We are not getting any error messages from eWay and the email from the cart telling us there was a sale does not say anything about the error either.

Are you able to put eWay into test mode so I can try some test transactions? If so, can you send the FTP login details to my email so I can try a couple of things.

Hi there
I tried a test transaction but I'm not sure eWay is in test mode. But in any case, all I wanted to do was to see the parameters that are sent to the thanks page after payment and what I've done is add these to the incthanks.php script under control of the $debugmode parameter. If you get a new copy of the updater and copy incthanks.php to your site and then set the following in your vsadmin/includes.php file...
$debugmode=TRUE;
...then run through a transaction, you should get a list on the thanks page after payment of all POST and GET parameters. Then can you send those to my email. Then take the $debugmode parameter out of includes.php.

Did you run a test order, you should get a list of parameters on the thanks page that can be sent onto Vince?

If you'd copied the new incthanks.php script, and added the $debugmode=TRUE; parameter to the includes.php script, then even if there were no parameters posted to the page you should see...
POST parameters
GET parameters
...above the...
"Sorry, there seemed to be an error ! If you need help with your purchase, then please be sure to contact us."
Can you have another go and see if anything changes.

I've found the problem and fixed it on your site. It seems that the capitalization of one of the eWay return values was wrong. I'm not sure if this is something eWay have changed but it used to work before. Anyway, I've set things now so that any capitalization will work. I've also taken the $debugmode parameter out of your includes.php file as things should all be working now.
