Hi Steve,

Place the following in you page where you want Recently Viewed items to appear.

<!--#include file="vsadmin/inc/increcentview.asp"-->

Then, in the vsadmin/includes page place

recentlyviewed=true 'Enables Recently Viewed Products
numrecentlyviewed=3 'Number of recently Viewed products to display

You can read more about it here http://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/parameters.asp#recentview

Hi Marshall,

Thanks for the reply.

I followed your below listed instructions but didnt get the results.

I can't see any products getting listed under recently viewed category.

Looking forward to your assistance.

Hi Steve
It's actually the product detail page that does the adding to recently viewed as that is the page where you are viewing an individual product as opposed to a page of products. But have you replaced the product detail pages with your own custom pages? That would stop anything being added to the recently viewed list.

Get it but how do I fix this. Should I pick up product detail from original template and enter this content?

Hi Steve
That would be the way to go really, yes. You've probably modified an original incproddetail.asp script for the page you have now so if you start with an up to date incproddetail.asp and add the same modifications that would have all the new functionality.

Is there any way to have recently viewed in the left, right or footer?

I ask because it would seem that recently viewed should/or would be nice if the customer could view and click on recently viewed from other pages than just the detail page?

Thanks...

Wherever you place

<!--#include file="vsadmin/inc/increcentview.asp"-->

is where the Recently Viewed items will appear. And don't forget in the vsadmin/includes page place

recentlyviewed=true 'Enables Recently Viewed Products
numrecentlyviewed=3 'Number of recently Viewed products to display

Hi, you can put it on any page in your store as long as it is a page that is connected to the database.
In other words, it needs to have the include lines that are on all store pages.
The page will also need to end in an .asp extension.
