Hello all,
When on category listing page of a home home category the category id for the home category (52) shows at the end of the sub-category description. I know it is an issue with coding after an update but I can not see where the issue is. Here is a link to the category listing that is the issue. http://ussafetyproducts.com/categories.php?cat=52
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,

This is not the category id showing because it is "52" no matter what page you are on. see: http://ussafetyproducts.com/categories.php

The issue is in the vsadmin/inc/inccategories.php file.

Did you or someone else modify this file?

Hello Daniel,
It's been this way since I updated to version 6.1.4. I've played around to see what coding in inc/inccategories.php but can't find what is causing the 52 to show up.
Thanks for your help.

Hi do you have any mods on the site, I've seen some strange things occuring with a url re-write mod affecting on page elements. You could also try applying the updater again without any customizations and see if it clears up.

1. Open up categories.php (the front-end file) and make sure it is including vsadmin/inc/inccategories.php and not some other file.

2. Open up vsadmin/inc/inccategories.php and search for <p class="catname"> and <p class="catdesc">, which should get you to the proper places in the file. Find the closing </p> and look at the code included right before it.

Hello Daniel,
I updated to 6.2.1 and still have the issue. I looked in both files and can not see anything that is causing the issue. Can I send you the two php files to see if you see anything that I don't.

Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,

Have you looked at your .htaccess file to make sure it is not rewriting categories.php to another page?

If you would like me to take a look at the files, put a request in here:
http://www.ecom-mods.com/request.php

And then send the files attached to the request confirmation email you receive. Please include the .htaccess as well.

Daniel helped me find what was causing the issue. It was in the vsadmin/includdes.php file "$catseparator" value causing the issue.
Daniel, thank you for taking the time to help find the issue.
