Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with customers that use PayPal during checkout?
This morning I received a Payment Authorization but no order email. In Admin the orders shows as Unauthorized but shows Pending: Total Paid USD 14.78. In PayPal the payment looks fine so I went ahead and updated the order status to New Order. This is the first order using PayPal since I updated to 6.2.1.
Orders using PayPal Express and PayPal Direct are fine since the update.
I did have one customer that placed an order using PayPal Express yesterday, thought it did not go through, and placed a 2nd order. Later when she checked her email she realized that 2 orders were made. She did not mention what happened during the 1st order.
Trying to do a test order now using my husband's PayPal account. I'm at the Order Summary page at PayPal... inputted his email/password and it's been just spinning for 5 minutes. I hit the back button and tried again from the cart and am now getting the error: Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. Cookie /n
Would anyone mind making a purchase using PayPal? I'll cancel the order and void the authorization right away. Site is in my profile.

Julie, can you setup a cheap product for say .10 shipping and tax exempt and post the url I'll be glad to test for you.

I've noticed a lot of customers have gone to the cart today but none have checked out. But no unauthorized orders so not sure if they are simply abandoning at that first screen. Shipping cost is usually the cause. A lot of bouncers are coming from gbase recently... makes me wonder if Google wants to show you all these "clicks" so you'll want to pay to play.

Now, I think maybe PayPal is changing something on their end? Usually when someone pays via PayPal the order would show as Method: PayPal and as New Order.
If they used PayPal Express it would show as Method: PayPal Express, which is still showing.
Your order says Method: PayPal CC, which I have never seen before? And Pending: Capture. Status: New Order. I looked through the last 250 recently shipped orders and none show PayPal CC. This CC thing is new?

Yep, has always been that way, but I doublechecked.
I don't think this has anything to do with the ECT cart at this point, it's probably a PayPal issue. I saw there were some recent posts abut IPN's and other hitches. Just was making me antsy just after updating the site.
2 more orders came in after yours... one PayPal Direct, the other PayPal Express. So everything seems to be working. When I get another PayPal order, I'll let you know what happens.

Hi Julie, the only thing I noticed was that I had to click the link to return to site from paypal but I assume that you are not using auto return.

Yep, I can't use that as I sell on different sites, all tied into that PayPal Pro account...

I'm having a similar issue using paypal standard where the orders are not showing in the ECT admin and the notify email is not getting sent. I have my admin set to authorize and capture. I just updated to 6.2.2.

Hi can you try placing a test order to see if there are any errors occuring and let us know.
