I just started receiving this message in my shopping cart "There are no methods available for your shipping destination". While I don't plan on shipping anything in my business (dance classes) I don't want to completely get rid of the option. How do I get rid of the prompt?

Possibly related to my issue, I get the same error. Hopefully there is an answer for us both.

Can you give us an example of a shipment that returns that message with package weight and zip codes?

Well, that's kinda the problem - I don't ship anything. I'm in the Dance class business. i sell dance classes!
If you can, go to my sight www.thetangocompany.com/products.php and put something in the cart and try to check out. After you finish putting your address, the next page comes up with the shipping error message.

If you don't ship anything, can you make sure you have selected "Don't Add Shipping" in the main admin settings page of your store control panel.
