We've had a lot of questions recently about how to make a site mobile friendly, particularly since the Google changes came into effect https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=101116
If you are using an older table based site it's going to be pretty difficult to make that responsive so it makes much more sense to get a replacement and start with a new Responsive Design. You wouldn't need to pay full price if you have an existing license that you are going to switch as we have Replacement Software here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/replacement-software.asp You can choose from any of the layouts here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/responsive-design-ecommerce.asp https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/premium-responsive-design.asp or for WordPress here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/wordpress.asp - all the colors, text and graphics are editable and you should be able to use a different menu system if you prefer - there are some suggestions here for responsive menus https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=93018
To set things up we recommend creating a new folder on your server, call it /test/ for example and upload the new responsive files there. If you aren't running the very latest version either update now or just don't upload the vsadmin folder from the new download, upload the vsadmin folder from your existing site. Make sure the db_conn_open.asp / db_conn_open.php is pointing to your live database, that way you can set things up without having to re-enter all your products, settings etc.
You will need to use css layouts for the category, product and detail pages so make sure you have this in includes.asp or includes.php https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/css-layouts.asp - the product/category/detail formats set in includes.asp / .php will be ignored as you don't want to be using a table based layout.
Once you tested and are ready to go live, move the files from the test folder to the store root.
If you would like us to carry out the work for you, we have this service available https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/Responsive-Design-Upgrade-Service

Hi in addition to the above steps, if you do not see the product images on the product or detail pages while developing in the test folder you can download the image csv file. In excel use find and replace.
Find
prodimages/
Replace with
/prodimages/
Other testing tweaks, if you need to over-ride the store url set in the admin. You can set the store url over-ride in the vsadmin/includes.php / .asp
ASP- orstoreurl="http://www.mysite.com/test" PHP - $orstoreurl="http://www.mysite.com/test";
Just remember to remove the store url override from the includes when you are ready to go live.
