When I receive and order from Canada the Postal charges are (ex) $25.
But when I generate the postage in Stamps.com the charge is $35. That's a $10 loss.
Hard to go back to the customer and ask for more money so I end up eating this.

My website is connected to the US Postal Systems and know that the Stamps.com site downloads the latest costs so I can't figure out why this large difference.

Is it a weight difference?
Perhaps you are not accounting for the weight of the box and packing. (There is a setting for that in includes)
quote:
Set the initial box weight. (Minimum version 6.0.3)

If you want to set the initial weight of your shipping box / packaging, set the following

initialpackweight=2.5

Have you looked at the weight of the item as it's set in your website, and the actual weight of the shipment?

Dave, 3 ounces more is all. I don't think that would equate to $10 in postage.

Have you checked the USPS site to see what they quote for delivery?

3 ounces on an international shipment would possibly be $10.00
You should change the weight in the shipping quote to see how much price difference it makes.

Hi Walt, if you want to give me the shipment weight, I will pull a quote off my website with a product that is the same weight.

Hi Walt, I never asked what service that was.
I use first class mail and priority.
This is my website quotes for a shipment to Ontario from Florida with an order that is just over 1 pound.
USPS First-Class International $17.00
USPS Priority International $40.25

Based on my memory, our International postal shipping rates are usually very close.

What service is this in your original post?

Dave, I used First Class International as much as I can. Only International if the customer wants it. Many times I break the order down to two or three smaller boxes so they all go out First Class International.

What exactly do you have entered in the weight field in the product admin page?

2 pounds is what's there as far as weight.

I don't have any issue with the US Postal rates on the same packages. Also packages to Australia are almost exactly the correct amount on the same items. It's only the Canadian postage that I have issues with.
