Hi,

I have just recently purchased the latest version and installed a very basic store on a test domain to have a play before creating a real site.

I have a question regarding product images. In the product details page I have a main image with prev & next buttons to scroll through the available images, is it possible to display the main image with thumbnails of the rest underneath or by the side? Similar to what you would get on ebay, amazon and the likes?

Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy, it should work like that. Have you tried uploading more than one image for your product(s)?

Also keep in mind he cart is fully integrated with magic toolbox - https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/magictoolbox.asp giving you an incredible array of options to show your images.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Yes I have several test products with differing numbers of images.

On the product details page I get 1 image with Prev 1 of X (Enlarge) Next underneath but I don't see thumbnails of the other images unless I click on Enlarge and then a window opens with thumbnails alongside the large image.

Are you saying I should be seeing them on the details page as well as the popup?

Regards,
Andy

Sorry Andy, it's been so long since I used that feature on my website that I needed to check to confirm.
No thumbnails - Only previous and next buttons with the option to enlarge.

You should consider magic tools. It's very low cost for the features it provides.
I use Magic zoom plus on my site.
There are demos there on the page I linked to as well.
If you want to try it, it will work fine without having to pay anything. Although there will be a message indicating it's a trial version there on the site.

Thanks,
David

Hi Dave,

Just taken a look at the magic toolbox site, just what we need and have just finished installing the magic zoom plus demo.

The ECT demo pages don't seem to work for me though, http://www.ectdemostore.com/Magic-Zoom-Plus doesn't look any different to the normal store.

Thanks for the help.
Andy

Hi Andy, I see that too.
I know some of them demo stores have been undergoing updates and It's likely this was overlooked.
Were you able to get it working on your site?

Thanks,
David

FWIW - Something like this? https://laurawilder.com/proddetail.php?prod=101400

We do this by loading multiple product images in the image manager and also in the product options which carry the corresponding images and add on pricing if any. That way when a customer chooses an option, the product picture also is loaded

We also use magicToolbox / MagicZoom

Hi Andy

FYI MagicZoomPlus is also very flexible in configuration. It's great out of the box but also has a comprehensive range of settings. https://www.magictoolbox.com/magiczoomplus/wizard/

Hi Steve,

It does indeed, spent some time today messing with it and added to the products pages as well as the detail pages.

Makes a big difference to the look of the site.
