The v6.6.3 updater is now available for ASP / PHP.

The ECT Cart CSS file has become an integral part of the shopping cart and we've now made many improvements to enhance the layout of the cart. One of the main features of the v6.6.3 updater is that this version can now be used with the new version ECT Cart CSS file which is now included with the updater. You are encouraged to update the css/ectcart.css script when you update to this version of the cart to take advantage of the improvements.

The clientloginref / $clientloginref parameter was removed in the v6.6 release but it is back by popular demand. You can use this paramter to forward a customer to a certain page after login. You can also use the parameter along with the login level to forward customers of each login level to a different page. For instance...

For FedEx shipping if you request your account rates these will now be properly reflected in the cart.

There is now support for a parameter...
cartdescription="My Store Name"
$cartdescription="My Store Name";
...which if set will be passed to PayPal as the "Cart Description" instead of the current cart contents. PayPal allow a maximum of 127 characters for the cart contents so for large carts this can sometimes lead to confusion.

When using multiple purchase options then soft cart total was displaying an incorrect total in some circumstances and this has now been fixed.

When using showtaxinclusive=3 where the tax is part of the product price rather than being added after, Loyalty Points would not cover the tax part of the product price and this has now been fixed.

Amazon Payments that were not completed would leave "XXX"'s in the customer details that had not been returned by Amazon such as the Customer Name and Street Address and this has now been corrected.

An error has been fixed in the admin categories page which would occur if you chose the Sort By Products Assigned or but were not using Stock Management.

When using Google reCAPTCHA, any error messages returned from Google were not being correctly reported making it difficult to debug problems and this has now been fixed.

Several improvements have been made for the Quick Buy layout.

A problem has been fixed with the parameter noproductoptions=TRUE / $noproductoptions=TRUE; where the "Configure" button was not being properly generated for products with options.

A bug has been fixed when using the Dump Inventory or Dump Filtered Inventory feature with a MS Access database and which could result in a Page Not Found error when using these features. This problem only affects the ASP version.

PayPal is making changes for security reasons so that it will only accept connections via TLS1.2. For those wondering if their server is compatible we have now introduced a test in the vsadmin/ppconfirm.asp/php script. To use this, just copy the new version of this script to your site and then open the following URL in your browser...

(your store url)/vsadmin/ppconfirm.php?ppdebug=tls
You should receive a message telling your if the test was successful or not.

We've released a hotfix today for v6.6.3 to address an important issue for those not using the shipping estimator, where the shipping total could be added to the cart total even though the shipping line was not present.

We've released a hotfix today for v6.6.3 and the v6.7.0 Beta to address an issue where navigating the extra images in the Quick Buy would actually change the images in the products page instead.
