I just tried it again on your site. Enter the tracking number and then hit the return key, the border should then show green (the page won't refresh) Then if you need to change the status do that next and click the update button (which will update the status but won't have any affect on anything in the tracking field).
That's what I have been doing all along since reading the other thread on the subject. I have tried it several times, entering the tracking number, hitting enter, making sure the border color has changed, then moving to the status field to make the change, and hitting update. Still, there is no number in the field when I return to the order.
Just so you know, if I only enter a tracking number and do nothing else to the order, ie. change the status, no update button appears anywhere on the order page and it's impossible to get out of the order screen without using the back button. So you have to change the status or make some other change on the order for an update button to show up.
After you change the tracking number (and it's gone green) you can use the buttons at the top of the page, Previous / Next / orders to change screen, you don't need to use the back button.
This is still not working well. I have done several of these today, and each time I had to enter the tracking number, hit enter several times to get the green border; if I do anything after that, ie. change the status of the order and update, the tracking number disappears. I'm having to double and triple check orders to be sure the tracking number has stayed put.
It appears that any change to the order once the process of entering the tracking number and hitting enter (until the border turns green) causes the tracking number to disappear. This happens if it is tried on the same edit event with the tracking number entry, or on a subsequent visit to the order for any update.
Perhaps as a workaround, until this is resolved, you can enter the tracking number on the orders page there on the right. Change the drop down the tracking number and you can enter it there and click update.
Hi David, For now I’m making the tracking number entry after I have changed the status to shipped and updated the order. Once the status is updated I can revisit the order and put in the tracking number. It stays there as long as nothing else is done to the order afterwards. So far haven’t attempted to see what happens if the customer tries to track it. Thanks for your input.
The inccsv.asp file is in the vsadmin/inc folder but that's related to a new mini feature
quote:The CSV update utility will now list the product id's that are missing when this is the case. Previously only the number of missing product id's would be reported.
