I'm using the horizontal drop down menu in the top navigation bar.
I would like to remove the ability for the menu bar to pop out or accordion out.
I don't want the sub categories appearing below when hovering.

Is there anyway to accomplish this?

Thanks

Hi

You could set this in includes.asp

menupoplimit=1

but that would stop any pop-outs or drop downs from either of your dynamic menus.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for getting back to me.

Would there be any other creative solution or workaround?

I want to use to top navigation for people that have difficulties with websites. As it is right now I cant click on the drops downs before they completely disappear. Not sure why, maybe alignment, or maybe I have to use a different type of drop down?

The idea top navigation would be just to click on the top level category with sub categories showing as pics in the content area. Then users would click through the sub category pics in the content area to navigate to the product they wish.

Thanks

I think the only way round it would be to use a static horizontal menu with just the links you want to show.

There are plenty of menu systems out there and although they wouldn't be dynamic you could do a search on "mega menu" and see if that's the type of layout you are after.

Another way to hide the dynamic ECT menu Sub-Category Drop-Down is to use CSS ...

ul.ectmenu1 > li.ectmenu1 {display: none}
