Hi,

I've noticed that the %orderid% is not replaced in the body of my order email. For example I see this:

Dear Joe Bloggs
Thank you for your order reference %orderid% placed on 10/30/2017 06:11.

The order id does however come our properly in the email subject.

This is what I have in my email headers setting:

Thank you for your order reference %orderid% placed on %orderdate%.

Also another query. I'm trying to track down some order confirmation emails which are not arriving, either with me and/or with the customer. I'm using SMTP authentication but it does not seem to have improved this issue. My query is, is it the same email which goes to me & cc'd (or bcc'd) to the customer, or are 2 different emails sent out? Because on the email I get, I see the customer address as reply-to but not in a cc field.

Thank you
Ellen

Hi Ellen

The order id isn't available in the body of the email receipt I'm afraid https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/email-messages.asp#email - only in the Subject.

The same email is sent to both the store owner and customer. Is it just some emails not arriving, or all?

Hi Andy,

OK thanks for the clarification on %orderid%, I'll remove that from the message body.

The orders email messages not received are just some, although quite a significant amount - not just a 1 or 2. I think it's a spam filter problem but am still unsure about the email message detail - if it's one email to customer/store owner, which is the main recipient and which is cc'd or bcc'd? Because I could not figure it out from the header of the store owner email I was looking at. The customer email seemed to appear only as 'reply-to' but not elsewhere. Could you clarify that for me please?

Many thanks
Ellen

They are separate mails rather than using cc or bcc - the content is the same though. It sounds like it may well be a spam filter problem.

Thanks Andy. Spam is such a pain!
