I have searched high and low through PHP parameters but can't seem to find the following to set the way I want it.

1. On a UK site, a required field is "county". The main address finder for UK is actually the postcode. Counties are only used in England. Whilst it "completes" the address, I would prefer it to be a non-compulsory field. Most people will select accordingly.

2. "How did you hear about us" field. Can this be removed or edited somehow? Does it have to be compulsory?

Look forward to usual helpful replies. I seem to spend hours looking for something and then missing it.

Hi

There isn't a feature to make the county not required

For the second question, look in includes.php for these lines and remove them or edit them

$extracheckoutfield1="How did you hear about us?";
$extracheckoutfield1required=TRUE;
$extracheckoutfield1html="<select name=\"ectfield\" size=\"1\"><option value=\"Google\">Google</option><option value=\"Yahoo\">Yahoo</option></select>";

Actually I think in the admin states page of the control panel, you can set the counties there to "Not Required".
