I have just moved the complete site (Wordpress) to the root directory and away from /wp/ and have everything working until the very last stage of checkout. After the page where shipping is confirmed (and final checkout button is pressed) the site hangs. The order goes through (it shows on the Orders Admin page) but the checkout just hangs looking for cart.php.
All was working fine until this move to the root directory (except emails, but that is something else!)

Hi Barry

Can you check the Store URL is correct in the main admin settings of the store control panel and that you don't have it set differently anywhere in vsadmin/includes.php?

Just spent some time carefully checking and I cannot see any incorrect url in includes.php or the site admin.
Bit flummoxed as it was working beautifully until I moved it!

I was using one of the email options (Bank Transfer)

OK, was just checking it wasn't an URL set with the payment provider.

Looking at the site I'm pretty sure the problem is that the site is hanging as it's trying to send an email - try the Ask A Question feature on the detail page and you'll see that hangs too.

I have asked the hosting company to look into this.
I followed the instructions on your link and emails still do not send from the site so it looks as if the problem may lie here.
Will update this thread once I hear back from the hosting company.

Looks as if the smtpport number was incorrect, certainly functions now
