Hi, My customers can't get back to the shopping cart. they get the message: "There was a timeout waiting for conformation from the payment server. Please contact our customer service email for details about the status of you order." Is this a shopping cart or PayPal issue. I believe I have my notification settings correct with PayPal. Has this just started happening or is it a new set up with PayPal? This is using PayPal Payments Standard, correct? If so, are you using the PDT and Auto Return https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/phphelp/ecommplus/paypal.asp

Yes Andy, it started happening after I enabled PDT. It's my understanding now that PDT is not meant to be used with credit card checkouts, and most of the checkouts are with credit cards. So I disabled it. Am I correct in doing this? Thanks, Bob

I do have auto return turned on, Bob

If you have PDT turned off you should also remove Auto Return - I would try that combination and let us know how it goes. PDT can be used with credit card payments by the way.
