New Features

The focus of this update is to reduce the amount of HTML code produced to improve page load times and improve keyword density. This will improve your customers experience on your website and also improve your ranking in search engines. We just can't overestimate how important we think this update is for your website.
To this end we have firstly moved more of the inline styling to the external style sheet and put all the code through an optimization process to make sure it is as efficient as possible. We have also moved the bulk of the javascript for the product and product detail pages to an external file, ectcart.js. As well as greatly improving the keyword density of the pages this also means that it only needs to be loaded once. Every page your customers view after the first one will load in half the time.

In addition to the recently added mailinglistdropdown parameter, to display the "add to mailing list" as a dropdown menu, there is now the parameter...

This also requires a response from the customer, resulting in more sign-ups, but also displays both options clearly as radio buttons.

Support has been provided for the Froala HTML editor which is a major improvement over the currently included CK Editor. Unfortunately this is only available for the PHP version as an API for the ASP version is not provided.

Support has been added for the new Side Filter 2. This is a much improved version of the side filter including selection by checkboxes to allow multiple selection, more streamlined code and new "more attributes" options.

You can now create a filtered CSV for stock inventory.

Bug Fixes and Enhancements

If a browser saved the return parameters from the payment processor, then refreshing the browser window would bring up the order details again, even some time after the original order. Now for past orders this will no longer happen.

You can now setup PHP Mailer from within the admin section, and the PHP Mailer scripts are included in the updater.

The Ask A Question feature has been improved.

We've released a Hotfix today to resolve the following issues.

There is an error in the menu display code for the PHP version only which can cause incorrect display of the dynamically generated menus.

We've released a Hotfix today to resolve the following issues.

The following fix is also included in the v6.9 release.

We've fixed an issue where logging out of an account may not actually result in a successful logout in some circumstances.
