Hi,

Apologies for asking basic dreamweaver questions but i am stuck....

I have just tried to copy an existing site using a responsive design template over to a new domain. Most things have copied ok & are functional after changing the URL's but Dreamweaver has lost the connection between the pages & the template. Does anyone know of anything else needed to copy to reconnect the 2? (Mac OSX)

As it stands there is no connection. If i apply the template to an individual page (modify/templates/apply template to page) it then does not include the left navigation & doesn't seem to recognise the page sections.

Original domain - http://olaviexport.com/index.php
new domain - http://thepewterfactory.com/index.php

Any pointers much appreciated...

Thanks

Martin

Hi Andy,

I had tried that, have tried again but it doesn't seem to affect anything. It seems there must be more information somewhere that did not get copied with the site copy, leaving the template & pages unconnected

I think it looks like the breakpoints in style.css are removing the left hand section rather than the dwt file. Can you check that and compare to the other site?

The CSS files are exact copies, no difference. I wonder if i would be better to start again with a new copy...?

Thanks for the help Andy. I have duplicated the site again & this time have not lost the template connection. I should be ok from here...

That's great. It was odd as I could see the menu code when viewing source - really not sure what was happening there.
