I currently run Ecommerce Plus PHP v6.9.4

When I fill out orders taken over the phone, many of our customers will offer pre-population of the form with their name, address, etc. What I have found is that when a discount code is used, it is applied and reflects in the total, but then when we allow the form to pre-populate or when we go back to make a correction in address it drops the discount. Is there a fix for this?
Thank you.
Paul

Hi Paul

Do you mean when you are creating an order in the admin orders page or somewhere else? Also, is this in Chrome?

It is when we are creating an order on our website, AG-USA.net
Yes, it is using Chrome to create the order.

Thanks.

Can you let us know how you create the order so we can try it out here?

To create the order, I simply go to our website and act as if I am the customer. I put his information in and check out.

Hi, I see andy is helping you here, but I see you wrote
quote:
when we allow the form to pre-populate

Do you click "apply" to set the code when the form pre-populates?
If not, the code will not set.
Perhaps that's the issue.

Personally, I turn off all those features that pre populates forms. It seems to cause me more problems than help.

We do click "apply" when we set in the code, and it immediately reflects in the reduced price. It shows the reduction and the new balance.
Then we click on checkout. A window pops up that says "AG-USA says coupon has been applied.
Next, I click on "checkout" and start filling in the form. It is here that it offers to pre-populate as I fill in the form.

I have now tried putting an order through using Chrome, Firefox and and with Internet Explorer, and none of them keep the percentage, no matter what I do. Help!
Thanks.

At what stage are you entering and applying the coupon code - on the first cart page or on the billing and shipping address section? Does it make any difference?

In my cart, the only place that the option for the coupon code shows up is right after you add product to the cart and click on check-out.

Very sorry, I see that now earlier in the thread. Maybe the simplest solution is to remove the coupon field from the cart screen and add it to the billing / shipping screen - would that help?

I think it might. How do I do that?

You can add this to your css file

div.cartcoupon_cntnr{display:none}

and make sure you don't have this in includes.php

$nogiftcertificate=TRUE;

Thanks for the information. I had this code in Includes:
$nogiftcertificate=TRUE;
I have removed it and it is now working.

Here's a new problem.
After I add to cart and click on Checkout it goes to Shopping Cart (1), where it gives the first opportunity for a coupon. Then on the page where the customer fills in his name and address it gives a second opportunity for a coupon. I would like for it to only appear on one of these pages. How do I remove it from the other?

Thanks.
Paul

Did you add this to your css file as it will remove the coupon from the first cart page

div.cartcoupon_cntnr{display:none}

I wasn't sure which css file to add it to. I have five css files in my CSS folder.

Any css file apart from ectcart.css, probably best where you have the other product and store entries.
