Hi,

did I imagine it or is there now a feature to choose extra colums when downloading a csv?
Specifically I am interested in product weight from customer orders.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve

I haven't seen a feature for adding extra columns to the csv file - perhaps you were thinking of adding new choices to the Quick Entry feature on the product admin page, which is possible.

Hi Andy,

No problem, I'll do it via phpMyAdmin instead.

Thanks,

Steve

Mike (dlss.ca) has a csv utility for products that does this, but it's .asp only.
For a long time, there was a .php version another developer offered, and that (I expect) had the same feature. Although I am not sure if that developer still offers that app.

Thanks for the info Dave. The reason Im asking this is becuse I need to work out the average weight of all orders over a year to get a price from a new courier.

That weight will not be found in any csv you can download.

The weight is added up in the scripts during checkout, but not recorded anywhere in your database (unless you have a mod for that )

So, no csv utility will be able to give you that info.

Perhaps you current shipping carrier can give you that report
I know Fedex will share just about any report with me that I ask for.
