We assign loyalty discounts at 10, 15, 20%. We also assign discounts on products.
We had a customer who bought a product with a 25% discount, and when he checked out he also received the loyalty discount of 15%.
His total discount was 40%. We are pretty sure this didn't happen in the past.
Is there some way of stopping double discounting?

We did notice that on the customer login, whereas the login level drop-down was previously set to >= it is now set to just =.

My colleague thinks this makes a difference, I have no idea.

Your help would be appreciated!

Hi Lale

So we understand, is it that if a customer has a discount via their login, they shouldn't get a regular discount?

That's correct. I'm not sure how this got dealt with in the past, but we haven't been aware of it happening.

If you don't want wholesale customers to get discounts set in the admin discounts page you'd need this in vsadmin/includes.php

$nowholesalediscounts=TRUE;

Ok, spoke too soon. Since implementing $nowholediscounts=TRUE, now people who have a percentage discount assigned in their login do not receive any discount at all- neither the discount assigned to the product, nor the discount assigned through their login. Whoopsee!

That should work fine. Can you log in and log out and refresh the product page to see if the price display changes depending on whether you are logged in or out? You may need to force a refresh, Ctrl+Refresh to see the change.

Ok, yup, we were just not seeing it. We'll have to put up something flashy to remind regular purchasers that their discount is baked in. Thanks again.
