Our hosting provider was taken over and now they are moving all the old servers to new ones. Friday they moved our websites. When I open the admin I can only see orders that where done after the transfer of the database. When I check the tabled in MS SQL Manager all older orders (and carts) are still there.

How come I can not see these in the admin orders page?

And what needs to be done to restore this?

Greetings,

Jaap

Hi Jaap

If you choose a date range and search, are the old orders not displaying?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the tip. When checking several date ranges I discover all orders older than February 11 are still there.

I think the guys who did move our website and database to the new server made a big mistake and copied the wrong database. Meaning they must have copied an older version of the database and not the database that was in our connection string.

I can also see that changes made in the products table during the last weeks are not present in the copied database.

The correct database is still present on the old server using the old IP. That is our luck. Now I only need to find a way to copy the new orders (+cart) from the wrong database to the correct database, after which I can then move this whole database to the new server.

Do you have a script that can transfer the correct database structure and all records to a new server/database?
And maybe some other hints that help me do all of this?

Greetings,

Jaap

We don't have a script for that but I would definitely speak to the host, explain what you have found out and give them the details.
