Is there a way I can Exclude Category from Site Search? I have a category in my store where I keep "OLD" items for SEO purpose but I would like to clean up my site search and not display these to the customer. Is that possible?

Also, is there an option for improved search such as one that includes auto-complete/auto-suggest?

I don't see how you can hide a category from the main search I'm afraid. That would be possible from a mini search box where you can define which categories are search able www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/searching.asp

I believe Vince is working on some search improvements as we speak.

Great new feature. That will be very useful on our site.

Is there by any chance a way of excluding the Product ID from the search like I think you can do with some other settings?

The reason I ask is because we sell a lot of products that will have a number in the product name like 40 but the Product ID's no not always relate to these so if a customer searches for 40 they also get results for Product ID's that contain 40 but might not be relevant.

If this could be added (if it hasn't already) it would be super helpful.
