Just noticed after the 7.1.6 update the 'In Stock' qty is showing on the product pages, even with ...

1) Both includes.php pages: detailpagelayout does not include 'instock' and $GLOBALS['showinstock']=FALSE;

2) Product pages do not include the $GLOBALS['showinstock' variable.

I can remove it with div.prodinstock {display:none !important;}, but $GLOBALS['showinstock']=FALSE is not working.

Sorry about the problems and yes, there was a change to set the $showinstock parameter but only if it were included in the $productpagelayout (or $quickbuylayout but that will only display it in the Quick Buy). Can you check that it is not in the $productpagelayout, and if it is not could you send the site FTP login details to my email vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com and I'll investigate. I've tried it here and can only get the parameter to appear if it is in the layout.

I've found the problem and sorry about that. It was the way the default was set if you hadn't set the productpagelayout parameter. I've fixed your site now and added the fix to the updater.

I'm having the same problem. The stock quantity is showing on my product pages & I can't figure out how to delete it.
