Hi,

If you click on a product id for an order it takes you to that product which can be often be a very useful reminder when picking and visually identifying products.

However, if you click on a product that has an Alt ID associated with it, it takes you to that ‘hidden’ product, which obviously doesn’t show. I can see why this happens but is there a way that it could take you to the parent product?

Interestingly, I notice this works with the product review request link sent to customers (I tested it as I assumed this would also be an issue) so I’m hopeful something can be sorted for this.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve
That seems like a good point so I've made the changes now to correct the link. I've added the changes to the v7.2 updater for now which you can get here...

You only need the new incorders.php script.

That works perfectly Vince.

You do realise that it took less than 2 hours from my request for it to appear in the updater - surely some kind of record!

Many thanks as always,

Steve

I brought this up in the suggestions forum for the cart as well. Can that be done too?

As always with Vince & the team they listen to their customers, get the job done in good time & keep you in the loop.
As in this question I asked last year

Support like this is priceless!

And this one is done too. Not quite as speedily it has to be said but I got there in the end.

The changes are again in the v7.2 updater, this time in the inccart.asp/php script.

Can inccart.php be used on v7.1.8 without updating to v7.2?

Well, at the moment you could, Marshall. But you would need the v7.2 ectcart.css file to go with it. And at some point in the future the v7.2 line inccart.php may have dependencies on other v7.2 files.

Sounds like that would be more of a pain at this time. Thanks though Vince.
