 Items in cart don't display when viewing cart.

Over the last few months customers have called to say they've added items to the cart, and when they click "Shopping Cart" or "Checkout" in the left column the cart is empty. Each time we have not been able to duplicate the problem.

Today we were. In this screen shot, https://caladiumsdirect.com/working/caladiumscart1.jpg, there are two products shown in the Shopping cart in the left column.

Clicking "Shopping Cart" brings up this second screen shot with no products in the cart, https://caladiumsdirect.com/working/caladiumscart2.jpg

If we use the browser's back button to get to the /Products.asp page, and click "Checkout" the products are there.

All seems to be working fine for myself.

This is what I get adding to cart etc

One thing to check is that both URL's in the main admin are https:

Remember - Any edits to the ectcart.css file will be overwritten by updater's. ALL edits to ectcart.css rules should be placed in your style.css file

I'm not able to duplicate the problem either, but I did do a remote desktop with our client while he was experiencing the problem. That's where I got the screen shots. I'm on the phone with him now and he is able to duplicate the problem.

He using Google Chrome, Version 80.0.3987.163

Yes, this and being able to switch between the www. and non-www. forms of the URL. Add an item to cart then on the cart page, manually switch between https and http and then www. and without the www. and if you can do that and the cart contents disappear, this is likely to be the problem. If this does turn out to be the case there are notes here on what you can add to your web.config to resolve the problem...

That fixed items disappearing from the cart, cart.asp, but clicking "Checkout" refreshes to the same page cart page instead of the checkout page.

Hi Kevin
Can you check then that the store URL that you have set in the admin main settings page is consistent with the URL you are using on your site, with respect to www. and https/hhtp that is.
