General question:

I don't use stock management on one of my sites (because the drop shipper can't supply real-time stock levels). At the end of the day, I download a CSV file to update what is in and out of stock. Not a huge project as the store only carries 150 +/- items.

When the item is no longer available, I uncheck the "sell button" box.

I have the site set up to allow folks to be notified when an item is back in stock. When I check the sell button box, does the site automatically send the stock notification to the prospective customer?

Hi Bill

Yes, as soon as you check the Sell button it fires them an email. You can test that by unchecking the Sell button on a product, going to your store and click on the Notify when back in stock message for that product, add your email address then go back to the admin, check the sell button and you should receive an email almost instantly.
