Multiple Orders with Same Order Number

KevinRobson Advanced Member USA 245 Posts	Posted - 09/15/2020 : 12:49:41 We had 9 orders placed that all have the same web number for (3) different customers using (3) different credit cards. All of these orders were entered on the same day within minutes apart from each other. in each order Authorize.net declined the transaction. How is it possible for multiple orders to have the same order number?

The next order is on 9/14/2020 web order #1289 The next order on 9/15/2020,web order #1288 for Stephen Elliott is in the website. Is it possible for Danny/Stephen to login as a customer and change order 1288?

The order placed on 9/15/2020 under Web# 1288 was not his doing. His credit card company have cancelled out that credit card used and in the process of issuing him a new card. The customer info that printed on Web# 1288 was fraudulent. He have a different phone#, email address and physical address listed below.

It sounds like they have a few cards and were maybe trying them out and using the back button between the transactions which is why they come with the same order id. What do you think caused the duplicate order numbers?

Auth.net is just displaying the information about the attempt and the fact that the card was declined.
