I noticed on a footer it stated php version 5.6.32 at the moment the server I am using is 7.2

Is the 5.6.32 correct?

Most hosts offer several versions of .php
In your hosting control panel you should be able to verify what version is active, can you check there.
In the admin dashboard, that should be showing what version is being used.
