Trying to upload product images through the product admin, and we're getting errors when trying to upload images that are a bit larger (file size). Without extensive testing, it appears that it fails on items around 150kb+

Is that normal? Is it a setting that can be adjusted?

Hi Bryce

The ECT image uploader isn't restricted & your issue may be from your host.

Thanks. Would you have an idea of what setting I can look into either in the IIS settings or elsewhere?

Hi Bryce

First of all I would check with your host if they have a limit set on max upload file size.

Hi there, check with your host that read/write permissions are set on the images and prodimages folder, then if you still have a issue can you post the error message here.

Thanks. I've already made sure permissions are correct as we can upload images to the directory as long as they aren't too large. I'll check and see if GoDaddy has some kind of upload limit set.

This is the error I get on anything I try 198kb and up.

Request object error 'ASP 0104 : 80004005'
Operation not Allowed

Hi Bryce

Just having a shufty around & I came across this That is a server side issue & is related to the settings of the IIS service. When you received that error, the amount of data that can be received in the "request object" is likely restricted & some servers are known to have a restriction as low as 200 KB.

Looks like GoDaddy are the ones to help you sort this. Keep us posted!

yup, saw that as well. I chatted with GoDaddy support about altering that setting. They said they did it but it can take a day to fully take effect. I'll know more tomorrow.
thanks all
