Hi Team

We did some security updates on the website i.e. retiring old security protocols and accepting only TSL 1.0 and above. Now we are getting this message:
ADODB.Connection error '800a0e7a'

Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.

/vsadmin/inc/languagefile.asp, line 13

Could this be because of the security upgrade or something else?
Regards

The line 13 is:
set cnn=Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")

I think you may have disabled your database connection. There are a few answers here that might help...
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/21719422/getting-error-800a0e7a-provider-cannot-be-found-it-may-not-be-properly-install

If you were disabling security protocols however, I would guess you are using SQL Server and may need to update the SQL Server Native Client as here...

Thanks Vince. We investigated and found that the database service had stopped. We restarted and it is working.

As we have made many security changes, we thought they might have caused it as they did to some other applications.

On another note, by chance we have a MS SQL version of the cart?

Other than this, you may close the query.

I hope you mean TLS v1.2 and above. TLS v1.0/1.1 are way past their expiration date.

Yes, sorry it is TLS 1.2 ( I misspelled TSL earlier).
