I want people to access my homepage by going to www.aaaaaaaa.com not www.aaaaaaa.com/index.php. How do I remove index.php from the url?

Where are people getting the URL from? In other words, where do you want to change it?
Does it not work when you go to www.aaaaaaaa.com?

I don't think that customers are reaching it from anywhere, but it came up as an issue when I was using ContentKing SEO tools. I have been using extension less urls for some time, so when I saw that on the SEO report as an issue, I figured it is something that needs to be resolved. It does work when I go to www.aaaaaa.com but also www.aaaaaa.com/index.php. Wouldn't that cause a duplicate url issue since it is actually the same page?

It's no problem at all and perfectly normal.
