Hi - updated client's website to the newest version. After doing so, I can't seem to add any items to the cart.
Example: https://letitshineusa.com/proddetail.asp?prod=CA7419

I updated their site because there seemed to be a security issue with the mini cart where it took them to the admin login page with the admin username already displayed. Right now, it seems that the mini cart link includes the admin user name for some reason so it's a useless broken link.
Example: https://letitshineusa.com/css/right_minicart%20-%20test.asp

Looks like you are missing the ectcart.js file.

It's on the server. Did I miss an instruction somewhere and need to manually add the link to that file?

Your store pages all need to be linked to the js (and css) file(s)

Adding the JS file link to the header fixed the add to cart issue. Thanks!

Any thoughts on the mini cart link?

Also, after I log in as an admin, the admin site crashes. All the files have been updated during the update.

Do you get an error code? If so, what is it?

The checkout links in the minicart seem to be pointing to xxxxx/cart.asp which is a bit strange. I think once the admin section is working again you should check the store URL in the admin main settings page.

I get an internal server error. It was working before updating the cart.

Hi, Internal server error is typically just a generic error and you will want to get to the real error. There are several ways to do that.
You can turn off friendly error message temporarily, or check the server logs.
You can also ask your host to help.
Once you know the actual error message, it will likely be an easy fix.

That error usually means that the folder in which the MS Access database is located does not have write permissions.

The database permissions didn't change during the update. Would the update have been able to change that?

Hi MelodyKO
No, the update wouldn't change the write permissions. But what sometimes happens is that a problem that already exists becomes apparent during the update process. There are more details about this here but can you ask your host to first check the permissions on the database FOLDER (not the database itself) and then we can move on from there if it doesn't help. But I'm pretty sure it will...

The server tech confirmed that the permissions are still read/write.

Can you send the site FTP login to my email (vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com) and I'll take a look.
