"Membership" in the organization is a product in our store.
During the checkout process we would like to suggest purchasing a Membership.
Is this possible?

There are several ways to do this.
You could hard code it into the cart.asp page below (or above) the inc/inccart.asp tag.
You could make it an actual product (which I assume you have) and use the cross sell feature.
And you could add it to the checkout steps changing the text for xxCoStp1 to something like
xxCoStp1="<a href=""/link-to-product"">Purchase a membership</a> here"
If you decide to change the xxCoStp1 text, put the change in the includes.asp file so it is not overwritten by updates.

I think the cross sell feature is the best option for our purposes.

I followed the directions at https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/cross-selling.asp#related
adding the relation relation to the product "Membership" on the product "Test Product". The "Rel" button for Test Product now has red text, as expected.

When I purchase "Test Product" and check out, Membership is not displaying on the cart page. Do I need to turn this feature on elsewhere?

It looks like the screen shots in the instructions at https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/cross-selling.asp#related are from a previous version of the cart.

In the screen shot it spells out "Related" where in the current cart it's abbreviated to "Rel". Not that it's a big deal, just wondering if there are other more substantial differences I need to be aware of.
