Many of our products have quantity discounts.
On large orders, customers often ask (email, chat, phone) for discounts and once we point out the discounts they are already getting, they are usually ok.
We just had a customer email on Friday with a cart at just over $1100.00
He explained he was a long time customer and asked for discounts.
I checked his cart and just in quantity discounts, he was saving over $200.00
The free shipping saved him $174.00
I replied to his email explaining the order already had a 27.46% discount on it.
If the cart page had a line item showing "quantity discounts save you $x.xx, then on the last page of checkout, show that again, and when they select free shipping, check the price of ground shipping and show that as "free shipping saves you $x.xx"
Anything that can be done to show customers their discounts would be helpful. We get less requests and customer feel better about their purchase.
