I'm using

$GLOBALS['actionaftercart']=4;
$GLOBALS['cartrefreshseconds']=2;

I also tried this: $GLOBALS['orhomeurl']="categories.php";

I would really like it to go back to the categories page from the soft cart popup but I don't seem to be able to get there no matter which number I use or whether I comment it out altogether.

Didn't we used to be able to do this? Is it possible?

Hi LadyM, the soft cart only has two options, stay on the page, or go to the cart.
It seems you are thinking about the continue shopping button on the cart page, and it's possible to set that, but not the safe cart if that's what you are asking about.

The soft cart has checkout in the top left corner, and bottom right has two options, Edit Order and Continue Shopping. The current Continue goes back to the same product. That's the link I want to change.

Hi LadyM, there's no feature to change that.
It is possible to do away with the soft cart, send the customer to the cart page when they add to cart, and there, you can have a continue shopping button that you can have control over.
