Our client has been experiencing consistently low UPS Ground rates $4-$10 below what they are charged by UPS, including a $2 handling fee.

A $35 test transaction on the site generates a UPS Ground rate of $13.50 + $2 handling = 15.50 vs $17.70 + $2 handling= 19.70.

If that doesn't sort this out, could you try going to the ups.com website and get a price for a package and then try the same through the cart. Then let me know the source and destination zips and package weight you are testing with.

Their Pickup Type IS currently #3, plus I have cross checked rates with the UPS site for pickup types 1 and 3 with similar results, i.e., the cart keeps coming up $4-$9 LESS THAN the UPS site.

With regard to their pickup type, it's a little unique! They tell me that UPS does a pickup whenever they do a delivery, which is frequent. Otherwise they have to call. I've told the customer they need to verify with their UPS rep EXACTLY what pickup type they should be.

Additionally, they are using Standard rates and NOT negotiated rates.

I just tried another test: Fur Mittens, $175, 3 lbs. from 54639 to 3562 ... Cart total 200.13 with $2 handling and 13.50 for UPS Ground ... UPS calculator 25.92 USD for standard without $2 handling, or 22.76 USD negotiated rate without $2 handling.

For what it's worth, I get similar results regardless of the product?

I tried the test package through the cart and the UPS site and it seems that on the UPS website there is a Delivery Area Surcharge of $6.70 that isn't being added to the total. I've had a look through the JSON response from UPS and it just seems to be missing from the total charge. Could you possibly get on to this customers UPS rep and see if this is a known issue? We can get them the JSON output from the cart if that helps.
