 WordPress createdb.php failing, new installation

I just purchased a license to use the WordPress version on a new site.
The createdb.php script is erroring out.
Last text displayed by the script is: Adding alternaterates table default data
PHP 8.2.26
mySQL Version is 8.0.40

Error log:

Hi,
Could you possibly take a look at the database you created and let me know what the storage engine and character set is please.

The storage engine is more than likely either InnoDB or MyISAM

and if you could email me the createdb.php file to phil at bettapages dot com and I'll see what I can do for you
