Havps there been any changes with paypal in the last week or so?

One of my customers has seen a high number of uncomplete orders ( about 10 out of 14 orders ) in the last week?

Any thoughts?

Hi there
With the latest version you can see in the Private Order Status what the reason for any decline would be. Have you tried looking a that? I haven't heard of any changes at PayPal.

thanks Vince, - its a site you updated for me about 12 months maybe less (I notice I am out of subscriptions so its longer than 6 less than 12:) its worked fine and we updated it because of paypal last time
no failure till the 13th May and then 10 failures - the client has been calling the people who filed a transaction a couple said they abandioned the cart - fair enough but 8 of the 10 said that when selecting patypal nothing happened - I have tested and it looks fine to me ?
So does unless there has been a major update on the paypal bit in the last x amount of months to have been a blip on paypal?

just a though has there been any browser updates that block popups which the paypal checkout window is?

7.7.6 is the version we are using by the way
some more missed orders again tofday - problem started on the 5yth and 11 failed payments since then so thoughts please

From time to time we notice a spike in Unauthorized PayPal order attempts — sometimes 6 or so in quick succession — which might raise concerns about an issue with PayPal. In these cases PayPal almost never returns an error code in the Private Order Status box.

Our first step is to verify whether any PayPal transactions are still being authorized. If they are, we keep an eye on the situation but don’t take action.

In nearly every case, those incidents seem to result from random buyer behavior rather than any PayPal errors.

It’s certainly odd my test purchase no issues but out of 5 transactions yesterday 2 fails - so was thinking browser, or if different PayPal transaction type.. pay with account or pay with card. ? The people
I have spoken to say either abandoned cart ( fair enough) or just blank when handing over to PayPal.. I’ll monitor it and see if it’s just a PayPal blip.
