Hi All,

In the Spirit Template.

How is the sample product categories and products removed from the navigation bar menu drop down list buttons? Do we simple change the navigation list button links or is there a setting somewhere in the Mega Menu to point to real categories and product pages?

I guess Im not able to explain or be clear..
I remember there being navigation options, Dynamic CSS Menus, https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/css-menus.asp, between Left side, Top, and Right Side Navigation in these Templates.. That doesnt seem to be the case any longer?

Obviously Im missing something... I dont want to delete code that will be needed if and when I need to add a Left Nav or both Top and Left Nav...


In addition Im getting syntax errors when removing exsting category and product navigation samples.

Per my understanding from prior answered info and the Dynamic CSS Menus... Link Below.
The Dynamic CSS Menus, https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/css-menus.asp

----No longer requires the Home Category set as Root?

----Does not have any affect anywhere in the default.asp (Home Page) as per latest info the Template Home Page Top Navigation is simple HTML page links and has nothing involved with the Dynamic CSS Menus?

----There are NO Includes used for the Dynamic CSS Menus on the ECT Template?

----The Sample Category and Product data that shows in the Top Navigation for category.asp, products.asp, cart.asp, order status.asp, tracking.asp, affiliate.asp, about.asp, about-sidebar.asp, clientlogin.asp, giftcertificate.asp, proddetail.asp, proddetail2.asp, proddetail3.asp, proddetail.asp, products2.asp, products2.asp, products3.asp, search.asp, thanks.asp, NONE of these pages use any part of the Dynamic CSS Menu and is basic html links for the Top Navigation that needs to be stripped out of the html code individually and manually on every page?

Even though top of products2.asp says in text within the html code below:

Since the Top Navigation sample info has nothing to do with the Dynamic CSS Menus and doesnt use any of the paramters in the includes files due to having to remove all the sample product and category data by hand in the html code and then set all the Top Nav links using html code.

Why is the text stating otherwise inside these pages html?

How can it be both?
How would I do both?
Where does the ECT Layout choices begin and end on which pages and where?
Where is the Dynamic CSS Menu used if its not on these pages?
Do I have to strip out all the sample data by hand then apply the Dynamic CSS Menus?

I dont remember having to do manually strip out the html code in the Template and link every Top Nav menu manually in every page using html code?

If I set the includes on the layout I want does the sample data dissapear like I want?

1. How do I get rid of all the sample Categories and Product data EVERYWHERE including the TOP NAVIGATION on ALL the pages on this Template?

2. How and where do I setup the Dynamic CSS Menu in the includes files to display on ALL the pages with my current Categories and Proctucts?

Im editing the Template on my Test Server so cant upload pictures apparently? Not sure if it would make any difference?
If Im off base here, and I most likely am, please accept my sincerest applogies. I have spent weeks searching the forums, manuals, for an answer to this inquiry to no avail.

I have no problem paying for an answer to my question. I just need to know how much it will cost to answer this question below:
