HI All,

I have a fairly decent handle on how to use Product Options. However struggling a bit with the following:

We are selling Tshirts, I have Options for Color, with a dependency on Size. Customers select Color first, then have to select Size.

I cant seem to figure out how to deal with Quantities for both of these Options. For Example:

---A total of 10 T-Shirts

---5 are Black and 5 are White.

---The 5 Black T-Shirts I have 2 Large, and 3 Small.

---The White T-Shirts I have 4 XLarge, and 1 Small.

Is there anyway to account for Inventory Stock Levels for BOTH Product Options: COLOR, and SIZE?

I see the STOCK LEVEL FIELD in the Product Options Values Section, But I assume this only works for ONE Option Only?

Thanks

I have a site with this exact scenario.
You need to have a different set of size options for each color selection then set the stock on the size option only.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I have setup currently:

Color Options:
---Black, Dependent set to BLACK COLOR SIZES

---Red, Dependent set to RED COLOR SIZES

---White, Dependent set to WHITE COLOR SIZES

I have also setup Size Options for each color.

BLACK COLOR SIZES:
---sm, black, qty 4
---med, black qty 4
---large, black qty 4
---xxlarge, black qty 4
---xxxlarge, black qty 4

RED COLOR SIZES:
---sm, red qty 0
---med, red qty 0
---large, red qty 0
---xxlarge, red qty 0
---xxxlarge, red qty 0

WHITE COLOR SIZES:
---sm, white qty 0
---med, white qty 0
---large, white qty 0
---xxlarge, white qty 0
---xxxlarge, white qty 0

Problem is I cant purchase anything as it states out of stock even though I have the color black sizes in stock. What am I missing?

Is this product set to "stock by options" for the stock?

Additionally, unless you are expecting them to purchase three shirts, perhaps the colors should be a drop down all together

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Yes it is stock by options and it still does this..

I intitally had it setup with all drop downs, and it still did this...

Maybe you could explain exactly how you have your Options setup?

I must be doing somehting wrong....

ALso, I need to track quantities by SIZE and COLOR, BOTH of these... not just SIZE.

I have set up back the way I intitally had it.

I think this is the way you have suggested?

But as you can see, It still gives me the Out of Stock and I cant purchase anything.

I take it I need to create a new Product/ Product ID for each OPTION COLOR SIZE? Or Else how could it possibly be tracked in Inventory Database..... I hate learning common sense things the hard way.... sigh....

Anyway to make the Product Options/ Options Alternates/ Alt Prod ID have a List Box that pulls directly from the Inventory? Then it would be impossible to make a spelling mistake.

I had no idea the Alt Prod ID was directly tied to Inventory, I thought it was simply a random Text Box that you could type anything you wanted.

Thanks everyone
