PHP v 7.8.7

I have set up discounts for several logged in users on two different sites, and on both sites, discounts are not being applied. I checked Percentage Discounts, with setting the discounts at either 5% or 10%, and even tried setting different login levels, none of which had any effect.

Hi Marshall, just an FYI you might not be aware of, but all of the pricing will adjust on the site - you will not see a separate discount listed.
So perhaps the pricing is being adjusted and you are looking for a separately listed discount?
If it's working right, when you log out, the pricing will be higher.

Thanks,
David

You are right as usual, Dave, but it really should say that somewhere. Customers were complaining their discount was not being applied. And bluntly, I thought it would display the discount on the checkout page. Regardless, thanks for clearing that up.

I agree, It would be helpful to show something indicating the customer is getting discounted pricing.
Being that the client login info is in the session variables, I think it would be easy to write an if/then statement to detect the client and place a message just about anywhere.
"Your pricing reflects a 10% discount"

I use quantity discounts and it would be great if the cart calculated all of the quantity discounts against the each price and showed that to the customer in checkout as a total amount.
I believe when you give a customer any kind of discount, it should show on the receipt.
We get many customers asking for discounts and we have to explain, well, you are saving x on this item and x on that item and free shipping is saving you x, because it's not really free - we are paying it.

Years ago, grocery stores may have shown a discount on the line items, but if you notice, now almost all of them list it at the bottom in a total.
You saved $XXX.XX TODAY!
This is a powerful tool to me.

Thanks,
David
