Up to 6 Custom Functions can now be included in your product and detail page layouts. For example...

You would then need to define the custom functions used (with the same name as the custom function layout parameter.)

The original need for this came from a customer who wanted to show stock from 3 different web stores and using custom functions it was possible to pull information from other databases into the product layout. But there could be many, many applications for this powerful idea.

You can now make a discount applicable to new accounts only. Also, a discount can be applicable to login level zero where before it was only possible from login level 1 and above.

For the PHP version there have been quite a few changes for the latest PHP 8.5 release.

There have been a few fixes and improvements for USPS and UPS shipping. Included among the improvements are better Time in Transit display which now gives an estimate as to the actual delivery date rather than just a date range per service.

There are two new parameters that apply to UPS and USPS shipping:

shippingcutofftime="1600"
shippingleaddays=2
' For PHP
$shippingcutofftime="1600";
$shippingleaddays=2;
Using the shippingcutofftime you can set the Cutoff Time at which shipments will now be sent the next day. This is especially relevant now given the more detailed UPS and USPS Time In Transit information.
Using the shippingleaddays parameter you can set the Lead Days or days before your products will be shipped.

Quantity Pricing or Price Breaks can now be exported or imported via CSV file.

The Wish List display has been given an overhaul making it much more stable, and when moving from a wish list to cart the customer is given the option to maintain the product in the wish list. This then enables them to use the wish list as a "Quick Purchase" list for repeat items.

The imgcartdelete parameter can now be used to specify the image used for the "Delete Product from Cart" icon in the shopping cart and which also allows it to be set as a button...
imgcartdelete="button"

There is now a defaultcategoryheader / $defaultcategoryheader parameter to set header markup for a category when one is not set or for the root category.

There is now a defaultcategoryfooter / $defaultcategoryfooter parameter to set header markup for a category when one is not set or for the root category.

HTML <buttons> tags are now used throughout the cart instead of <input> tags to maintain consistency and also allow the use of HTML glyphs.

Coupon codes can now be deleted when editing an order.

Please note that in the PHP version the $pathtocurl parameter is no longer supported as it is always enabled in PHP and the command line version doesn't allow for options necessary for the new oAuth security.
