Is there any way to condense the customer details and shipping onto one page?

Hi Steven, there is no feature for that and really you need the customer details before you can calculate shipping. I expect Vince could work up a solution, but with my knowledge of coding, this involves some javascript and ajax and in some cases, this may be client side scripts that are more prone to failure or manipulation than server side code as it is now. That's speculation on my part. Speaking for myself, I will say I have processed hundreds of thousands of orders though the ect cart and not one customer has ever asked about a single page checkout. I know some sites have this, but I don't have customers complaining about our checkout, so to me that's what's most important. Thanks, David

Dave, Im with you on the number of orders. We do about 30 a day and have been using Ecomm for almost 20 years.
My customers must be lazier than yours. I get my emails on why the cart is so complicated.

Perhaps there are ways to make it more efficient and faster. For example, I use an address autocomlete feature - type in the first 6 of your address,, and you get all of the rest with one click - city, state zip... Can you message me a link to your site so I can see your checkout?
Thanks, David

Most websites now have consolidated Steps 2 and 3 into one page.
i.e. Address, Delivery and Payment in a single one page step.
In my experiences of buying from other websites it seems very helpful in simplifying the presentation to the customer and reducing friction.

I wouldn't hate seeing that in a 7.8 update :)

I don't think there will be any future updates to 7.8... https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=116646The v7.9 updater is now the Stability Release and any new features will now be added to the v8.0 Advanced Release. Bug and security fixes will continue to be added to the Stability Release.I think perhaps someone make a post in the suggestions forum so ECT can gauge interest as that is where some of the new features come from. Thanks, David
