Hi Vince,
I'm posting this on the clients request.
I'm using the ECT contact form with PHP Mailer and I'm getting the following error message on submission when I set the debug parameter in the includes

"Failed to send mail. You must provide at least one recipient email address. Your message was delivered successfully."

No mails are being sent out from the contact form or order confirmation emails.

I've verified that the smtp, port setting, password etc etc are all correct. Servelink have said there's nothing in the logs to say emails are not being sent, I've tried both SSL 465 and TLS 587 and both give the same error message.

Normal emails are being received without any problems by the client apart from any order confirmation emails or contact form mails from the store. Any suggestions please, I've run out of ideas.

Let me add that we contacted our host Servelink regarding this issue and they suggested to install a plugin like or similar to this one:https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

Please advise.

Thanks

Joe

This is strange as it seems it's when you are sending emails to your own email where the problems happen and the error message would indicate that the To address wasn't set where I imagine it is. Do you have any custom email headers set? I've tried on my test WP store and all seems ok so do you want me to give it a go on yours? If so could you send me the site details Phil.

Hi Vince,
It seems the order at your store and order confirmation emails are now working, but still nothing from the contact form

Hi Joe and Phil
Can you please give it a go now as I think I've fixed the problem.

sounds like the recipient address isn't being set before the mail sends, even though smtp itself is fine. worth checking if the "to" field is pulling from a setting that's blank or not saved properly, that error usually points there.

might help to add a quick echo or var_dump right before the send() call to confirm what recipient value is actually being passed, would narrow it down fast.
