Hi

We've set up a checklist to go through before taking a store live.

Have a look here http://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/checklist.asp and see if you've missed anything - any additions to the list are welcome.

Andy,
this is fantastic though I would mention under general that sites should be tested in 800 and 1024 screen settings.

Andy, your checklist covers just about all you need. I would suggest if you have multiple languages, to test out the store in each language before going live (I had an error in my spanish section and the english section worked perfectly.

Hey Andy

You have given a perfect checklist for opening a web store. You covered almost everything in headings - General Issues, ASP version and PHP version. Also tell a few techniques to bring good traffic on the store.

Thanks

i think that people should make the name of their posts their websites (www.example.com) so it is easier to see plus this section is only for site critiques anyways.

I think that's a great idea, having the subject as the URL would be good.

Andy,
I would also add: Use some sort of spell checker on descriptions and text.
