This is a bug fix update for v6.0 and is recommended for all v6.0 and previous users to improve stability and efficiency of their stores.

Another company has created a script which redefines a variable used in the cart. This can cause problems purchasing in stores that use stock management and product options. This is a very important fix as it can make it impossible to purchase items with options.

A problem has been fixed which could cause a handling fee to be incorrectly applied when changing shipping methods.

When requesting a stock notification for a product using Alternate ID's the second time an error could occur and this has now been resolved.

In URL encoding the underscore does not need escaping however the ASP URL Encoding function was incorrectly doing so.

Some changes have been made to the mailing list functionality to make it easier to send large mailshots over 2 or more days.

When creating a new order in the admin orders page you could get an error such as...
Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0 error '80040e2f'
Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'ordSessionID', table 'orders'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

The stock notification would not be deleted when a product was deleted. And once the product was deleted the stock notification would not display so it could not be deleted manually.

Functionality has been added to the client login admin page to allow you to automatically log in as the customer and to allow you to quickly create an order under the customers account.

The parameter xxHomeURL is now used more consistently through the cart to specify the Home URL. Previously, in some cases it was hardcoded as the categories.asp/php page.

In some cases the shipping carrier could be reset when editing orders and this could lead to the shipping not being displayed in the order status page. This has been resolved so that the shipping carrier is not reset and also so that even if the carrier is not set, shipping is displayed if it is non-zero.

There was a problem in the ASP version where in some cases the menu would not create the code necessary to return from the secure HTTPS side of the site to the non-secure site and this has been resolved.

The Product Filter Bar was not taking the Tax Inclusive setting into account when calculating the price bands which can lead to a mismatch between the price of the products displayed and those selected in the filter bar.

A formatting issue has been resolved in which the checkout page was in some cases in a surrounding table and in some cases not in a surrounding table depending on the stage of checkout. This has now been resolved so in all cases there is no surrounding table and which will allow a more consistent look and feel through the checkout process.

Some changes have been made to improve the error reporting in PayPal Direct Return.

When dumping the product inventory the system will now obey the product visibility setting and "out of stock" selection.
