My client has some customers who call in their orders by phone. After the 6.85 update last night they sent me this message:

Found a glitch. It seems that we can no longer login as our customers to place phone orders under client login. It appears to work but then when you are actually in the shopping cart is says "Not logged in" in the login section.

I need a guru's help!

...seems to be working on my site... Maybe reinstall files to make sure nothing was corrupted upon upload

Hi Ray, I can't seem to reproduce this behavior in 6.8.5 using Firefox or Chrome. Can you check if the url is switching between www or non-www.

Got more details.

Client can log out as admin and log in directly to client account fine.

From the admin dashboard orders admin > client login is where the issue arises. Example: When I am logged in as RAY under my admin account and I search for my clients username it shows it in the results screen. When I click the "login" button on her account the page redirects (it is on the WWW version on all situations) to the account login page. In the left sidebar is shows that I am not logged in.

I think I created the problem for myself.

In my attempt to have the cart send an email if the customer selected the checkbox to allow promotional emails I added a few lines of my non-guru PHP to the cart page. I commented out my few lines of code an the cart worked like it is supposed to.

Another Ray error. Sorry for bothering you folks!
