Is there an easy way to prevent the site from working for customers and still have access to the admin section?
Thanks

Hi you can put the store in Vacation mode from the admin main settings. There is also a post here on setting up a custom message for the home page https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=108488 See the post by Vince for ASP

When you say 'prevent the site from working for customers' would you still want them to view the site? If so, one feature I use is the nobuyorcheckout=TRUE; in the includes file. Customers can still browse the store but submitting an order and buying isn't available. Effectively the site is just a catalogue of products.
